Our Formula for a Great Preschool

Nurturing Environment

More than anything, our children need our individualized attention and care. Our team considers it our mission and joy  in training the next generation. You can rest assured the team of care-givers surrounding your children love what they do!

Academic Preparation

The brain develops at a rapid pace during these early years. Our program is designed to prepare students well for eventual entry into a full-day kindergarten program. Many of our staff have previous educational experience at the K-12 level.

Social Interaction

For many families, preschool may be the first time a child is experiencing regular social interaction. Developing healthy life and social skills is important for future success. We regularly work on building these skills with children.

Biblical Truth

Biblical truth is at the root of eveyrthing we do. We integrate Scripture, prayer, music, and spiritual truth into our learning environment. We partner with families who teach these same Biblical truths in the home and church  environment.

Is my child ready for preschool?

It is normal for children to experience a bit of fear or separation anxiety as they consider the possibility of enrolling in a preschool program. We find that once students are normalized into the routine of preschool, this anxiety fades quickly. We have experience and a long history of working with a wide variety of children ages 3-5!

How affordable is an education at Small Wonders Learning Center?

We do everything possible to keep our family costs competitive in the Cedar Valley area. Please review our update tuition document for full information about our student fees.

What are the admissions requirements?

We require all students to be able to use the bathroom without parental support before beginning at Waterloo Christian School. Families that are working towards this goal with their children are still invited to complete a pre-application and be placed onto our wait-list.

What is the Pre-Application?

Due to space constraints, we ask families to complete our pre-application. This non-binding commitment is what families complete to be placed into our wait-list. When space becomes available, families will be invited to completed to complete our full application.

Who will be teaching my child/children?

Every individual on our team loves Jesus and has a passion for working with children. Each staff member goes through annual certifications and professional development. Many of our staff members are also licensed teachers or have significant experience working with K-12 students.
