Admissions Process

We want to make the admissions process as easy as possible for you and your family. Below is an outline of the steps you’ll need to take to apply.

Please note, our priority application process begins Nov. 15 and concludes on Feb. 15. Applications after Feb. 15 will be accepted as space allows.

Step 1: Attend a Discovery Day

Discovery Days are available weekly from November through February. During your Discovery Day, you’ll be welcomed by our head of school and take a group tour of our campus. It’s an opportunity to meet students, parents, and teachers, as well as visit classrooms and view activity areas.

Step 2: Schedule a Shadow Visit

After a Discovery Day, prospective students complete a Shadow Day, during which they’re partnered with a student who will help welcome them to our community. Shadows also complete a series of assessments as part of our admissions review process, which helps us understand each student’s needs and how we can set them up for success.

Step 3: Complete the Online Application

Your application gives us an opportunity to learn more about your family and helps us partner with more mission-fit families. If you need assistance completing your application, we’re happy to help. There is a $50 fee to apply, which covers the administrative costs involved in reviewing each application.

Step 4: Complete a Brief Interview

We love getting to know prospective students and families. As part of our admissions process, we look forward to learning more about you, your family, and your child’s needs. Families may choose to attend one of our two Interview Days during the months of January or February. Students in the 5th grade and above will join us for the family interview .

Step 5:  Receive Admissions Decision

Admissions decisions will be communicated on March 1st. Families will be given a two-week period to accept their spot at Waterloo Christian School and submit their $350 enrollment deposit. Applications received after the March 1st application deadline will be considered on a rolling basis as space allows.
