The Regent Mascot: A Symbol of Leadership and Excellence
- The Regent stands as a proud symbol of our community’s values and aspirations. The term “Regent” refers to a person who governs or rules, often in the absence of a sovereign. It embodies qualities of leadership, authority, and responsibility—traits that we strive to instill in every student.
- The Regent mascot represents our commitment to developing young leaders who are equipped to serve and lead with wisdom, integrity, and compassion. As Regents, our students are encouraged to embrace their God-given talents and use them to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
- In the realm of athletics, the Regent spirit comes to life as our teams take to the field or court. Our athletes embody the Regent qualities by demonstrating sportsmanship, teamwork, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Building Character through Athletics
At Waterloo Christian School, we believe that athletics are an integral part of our students’ development, teaching valuable lessons in teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Our athletic programs aim to cultivate not only physical skills but also character and sportsmanship, all while honoring God through our actions on and off the field.

Athletics at WCS
Waterloo Christian School is a member of the Iowa Star Conference. We are also a member of the Iowa Girls’ High School Athletic Union and the Iowa High School Athletic Association. Waterloo Christian School offers a variety of sports participation opportunities. We also partner with several area schools to expand our athletic offerings.
